Oil painting

In this section, I offer a retrospective look

on some of my oil paintings.

I started painting in 1991. I just experimented about high expectations

with oil paints, which I literally fell in love with in a short time. To this day, the scent of this remarkable medium creates an inimitable, downright nostalgic atmosphere.

In 1992 I was accepted to the Faculty of Architecture STU in Bratislava. But my desire to paint and be

"Freelance artist" was already so strong at that time that I didn't start studying. I'm not sorry ...

Internal need to improve in painting technology

was the reason for completing additional study

at the Department of Painting, VŠVU in Bratislava (1995-97).

However, just as the old masters searched for and discovered new materials in the past, to which they dedicated their further work, so I later exchanged the oil for acrylic.

Despite the change in my creative direction, I still consider oil painting to be the queen of fine art.
